Chelsea Haven Estate

Nestled within the serene enclave of Fairmount Park in West Baltimore, Chelsea Haven Estate stands as a proud testament to the city’s early 20th-century architectural elegance and rich cultural legacy. Built in 1915, this stately Colonial Revival home spans over 4,600 square feet and showcases the classic symmetry, brick and stone craftsmanship, and refined detailing that define the period’s most enduring designs.

Non-Stop to Amsterdam

Set on nearly half an acre of beautifully maintained land, the estate captures the quiet dignity of a bygone era while offering a rare window into Baltimore’s suburban expansion. Fairmount Park itself emerged during this time, celebrated for its tree-lined streets and diverse architecture. Among its most distinguished properties, Chelsea Haven Estate was once the home to a local judge and later served as a cornerstone for a vibrant community of Black professionals during segregation—underscoring its civic, social, and cultural significance.

Today, the estate enters a new chapter as the official studio for Brunson Designs—a creative practice dedicated to architectural preservation, thoughtful renovation, and inspired new works. Under the stewardship of esteemed DMV building designer and owner Lynnette Brunson, the home has been meticulously restored to honor its historical integrity while embracing the spirit of modern country refinement.

More than just a residence, Chelsea Haven Estate is a living chronicle—honoring Baltimore’s architectural legacy and serving as both sanctuary and studio for the next generation of design.
